About the duo

The duo Nuron Mukumi & Christoph Heesch represents an intense, long-standing collaboration between two independent artistic personalities on an equal footing. At its heart lies an ongoing musical dialogue, characterised by trust, flexibility and a shared interpretative approach. Both are united by a keen interest in structural clarity, tonal nuance and interpretative depth that goes beyond mere virtuosity. This gives rise to a musical language that combines analytical precision with emotional immediacy. Christoph Heesch brings his chamber music experience from the Berlin Philharmonic String Quartet, whilst Nuron Mukumi complements this with his ability to shape the dramatic arc and create expansive musical lines. Together, they develop programmes as coherent musical narratives spanning classical sonata repertoire and rarely performed works. At the heart of their work lies shared listening and spontaneous musical response – as the foundation of a vibrant, contemporary approach to chamber music.
